Our squadron has also taken part in many sporting competitions/activities. For example, we have won first place in the Middlesex wing athletics competition 2023- junior men’s champions as well as over half our cadets receiving medals in various activities. Some of our cadets also took part in cross country running competitions. Additionally, some of our cadets are on the RAF Middlesex football team representing our squadron and earning a sport badge.
Sports Programs: The RAF Cadets offer a wide range of sports programs and activities for their members. These programs are designed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
Sports Competitions: Cadets have the opportunity to participate in various sports competitions at local, regional, and national levels. These competitions may include athletics, football, rugby, swimming, cross-country running, and more.
Sports Badges/Medals: Cadets can earn sports badges for their participation and achievement in different sports. These badges recognize and reward their dedication and skill in various athletic disciplines. During sports competitions cadets who place 1st, 2nd or 3rd receive medals to recognise their hard work and success.
Road Marching: road marching is one of the many activities that contribute to the overall development of cadets, promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills. Cadets may participate in road marches as part of their training and as preparation for various cadet competitions and events. It is seen as a valuable activity for building resilience and preparing cadets for the challenges they may encounter.
Cadets have the flexibility to explore their interests and participate in the sports and physical activities that align with their preferences and goals. Sports within the RAF Cadets contribute to the development of young people and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
